Using the information stated in the design section of this site, a first article unit was able to be manufactured.

The product was then tested following TMA and ASTM standards. These included static loading, stability, and repetitve loading tests. The product was secured to a log and placed into an Instron testing machine. The results can be seen below.

Dimmensional and visual inspections were also conducted to ensure the product met the standards we set for ourselves.

Finally, a weathering test was conducted in an accelerated weathering chamber. The weathered specimens were compared using an Instron tensile test.
