CME 485: Senior Design Project II (Spring 2021)

Design Concerns
The CUB included design specifications that needed to be met. Shown below is a table that shows the customers design criteria, requirements, wants, and goals. The customer’s design concerns were analyzed, and changes to the final design were made accordingly.

Summary: Design concerns were met. Design 1 & 2 were slighty modified versions of the two designs our team agreed on were the best and most feasible for our team to achieve. Design Alternatives #1 and #2 are shown below.

Final CAD drawing of the CUB: the utilization of the spokes that produced the shape of the basket was used from design 2, but a pentagon shape was used rather than a diamond/square shape. The thicker top deflection band was utilized as well from design 2. The shape that creates the basket in spoke form, as well as its' connection mechanism was utilized from design 1.
